DR. LINDA SUSAN SPEDDING
Resident Representative Advisor - Environmental and International Affairs

Based both in India and UK. Dr. Spedding qualified as a solicitor in the UK in 1975 and left the firm where she trained to obtain more corporate experience with a more internationally minded firm .She added to her experience through an LL.M in European and International Law and an extended work experience at the Legal Service of the European Commission in Brussels .She was invited to pursue a Ph.D in European and International Law relating to the freedom of movement of the legal profession while continuing in practice. Over the years since her Ph.D (1984) Dr. Spedding has had many works publicized. She is an International Authority on Environmental Law and also assisted the Govt. of India in drafting the environmental legislature.
Dr Speeding was awarded the Alexander Maxwell Law Scholarship Trust award in the 1995/96 for her contribution in this area. Dr Speeding is the representative of the Institute of Environmental Management and Social Development coordinating various activities of the institute at international level.
